TL;DR
When transferring a NOV Type P maintenance checklist into a worksheet, keep each check point attached to its source row and applicable equipment document.
- Identify the source page and table before copying a check-point label.
- Preserve the row's frequency, procedure and any qualification; keep the lubricant-type column where present.
- Compare extracted text with the original layout before accepting a row mapping.
- Treat the worksheet as a document record, not proof of completed maintenance or approval to perform work.
This guide explains document mapping. It does not establish a maintenance schedule for your installed pump or authorize a lubricant, repair method or restart.
Scope: verify the form before using its content
The reference is NOV booklet 25-101131, pages 24–25, headed IADC Maintenance Checklist. Match the pump model, serial number and configuration with the applicable equipment documentation. Retain the file identifier and the actual page location; do not invent a revision when none has been confirmed.
The mapping fields below are editorial recommendations, not an OEM replacement form. The original layout must remain available to the reviewer. A transferred record needs a responsible person to confirm its applicability before it is used in a site maintenance plan.
Why must the two tables remain distinct?
They use different check-point labels and columns. On NOV pages 24–25, the lubrication table uses A–D and includes frequency, check point, type and procedure. The operating-maintenance table uses 1–17 and includes frequency, check point and procedure.
Use a compound reference such as “file + page + table + check point,” rather than a bare letter or number. These are document labels, not part numbers. A row in the lubrication table should not acquire a procedure from the operating table simply because both describe the same broad maintenance area.
How do you keep qualifications attached to a row?
Copy the complete context needed to interpret that row, then compare it with the original page image. For example, operating-maintenance point 17 includes a 14-P-220 qualification. Keep that model qualification with the row; do not generalize it to every Type P model. NOV page 25.
When extracted text wraps onto another line, check where the row begins and ends before importing it. Do not combine adjacent entries, drop a footnote marker or interpret a missing cell as a blank instruction. If a boundary or association is unclear, preserve the source image reference and mark the mapping pending.
Document transfer and maintenance execution need separate statuses. “Source row verified” means the record matches the document; it does not mean the work was performed, the component passed inspection or the equipment may be restarted. Actual work requires authorized personnel following the current applicable procedure, including shutdown, energy isolation and verified pressure release where required. Do not remove guards, open a cover or adjust equipment to complete this document-mapping exercise.
Row-mapping checklist
Use these editorial fields for each transferred row:
- Source identity: filename or document identifier, applicable revision if confirmed, page and table title.
- Row identity: check-point label exactly as shown, with the table name retained.
- Row context: source frequency, procedure, type where present, and linked notes or model qualifications.
- Evidence: original page location, extraction method, reviewer and any uncertain row boundary.
- Applicability: matched equipment identity, responsible confirmation or a pending question.
- Separate execution record: work date, responsible person and findings only when independently documented.
Do not replace unavailable information with an assumed frequency or a completed status. Catalogue navigation is available for NOV 12-P-160 and NOV 14-P-220; catalogue identity does not resolve document applicability.
FAQ
Are A–D and 1–17 part numbers?
No. In the cited tables they identify check points. Retain the source page and table with each label.
Can text extraction alone confirm the row relationships?
No. Compare the extracted fields with the original layout, especially wrapped text, notes and model qualifications.
Does a verified worksheet mean the maintenance was completed?
No. Document verification and work completion are separate records with separate evidence.
Does the IADC format label certify my pump or this worksheet?
The cited sheet's format label does not by itself establish certification of your equipment or this editorial worksheet. No such certification is claimed here.

Next step
For a maintenance-document enquiry, provide the pump identity, the source file and page, the affected check point and the unresolved mapping question. Seek confirmation of the applicable document before converting the reference into a maintenance task or parts request.
